San Diego is famous for its colorful and diverse cuisine scattered throughout the many neighborhoods, but all of the following suggestions are our LOCAL favorites, and are all located in the adjoining neighborhoods of Little Italy, Mission Hills, Banker Hill, or Hillcrest, very close to our vacation rentals.

You could walk to any of these, but as this area is hilly (especially toward Hillcrest or Banker Hill) please check a map and distances first

San Diego is very casual. You can wear jeans/shorts/flip flops to any of the restaurants listed. Pants (jeans ok) and shoes are recommended for “Swanky and Delicious” suggestions below.
